Restructuring Fund

The Restructuring Fund was established with the entry into force of the Restructuring Fund Act (Restrukturierungsfondsgesetz (RStrukFG)) at the beginning of 2011. In the reorganisation procedure, it has at its disposal a variety of instruments for stabilising the financial system. These measures are funded by the bank levy, which is collected from all banks in Germany and enters into the Restructuring Fund.
